Ritual de lo habitual is the second studio album by Jane's Addiction, released on August 21, 1990, by Warner Brothers. Co-produced by Dave Jerden, it was the band's final studio album before their initial break-up in 1991. Singles from Ritual de lo Habitual include Been Caught Stealing and Stop. Ritual de lo habitual is certified 2 Platinum in the U. In 1990, just one month after being released, the album had sold 500,000 units. Ritual de lo Habitual is the third album from Janes Addiction, and final album to feature original bassist Eric Avery. The albums Spanish title translates to Ritual of the Habit. This album was recorded at Track Record studios, and released by Warner Brothers on August 21, 1990 and immediately became the subject of controversy by conservative political groups in the United States. For Ritual de lo Habitual, anticipating resistance from retailers, the group released the album with two different covers. The second is all white, with a dippy message about the importance of freedom of expression printed on it. Songs in album Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual 1990. Jane's Addiction - Stop . Jane's Addiction - No Ones Leaving. Jane's Addiction - Ain't No Right. Jane's Addiction - Obvious. Jane's Addiction - Been Caught Stealing. Jane's Addiction - Three Days. Jane's Addiction - Then She Did. Ritual de lo Habitual served as Jane's Addiction's breakthrough to the mainstream in 1990 going gold and reaching the Top 20, and remains one of rock's all-time sprawling masterpieces. While its predecessor, 1988's Nothing's Shocking, served as a fine introduction to the group, Ritual de lo Habitual proved to be even more daring few if any alt-rock bands have composed a pair of epics that totaled nearly 20 minutes, let alone put them back to back for full dramatic effect. Jane's Addiction always had a knack for penning beautiful ballads with a ghostly edge, again proven by the album closer, Classic Girl. Ritual de lo Habitual finds Janes Addiction thin and wandering, blowing ploys that worked before - overdubs and echoes, loose jamming, Farrells playground melodies. Split into a hard-rockin side and a prog-rock side, the album doesnt cohere - whatever the band members have been doing for the last two years, they havent been practicing much. Sure, there are moments - the opener, Stop, has an amazing bridge, Aint No Right admirably sums up Farrells creed Aint no rightAint no wrongTheres just pleasure and pain and Been Caught Stealing is a real jewel. In 1990, Jane's Addiction recorded this record, Ritual Do Lo Habitual and gained success and popularity outside of California. Led by front man Perry Farrell on vocals, with Dave Navarro on guitar, Eric Avery on bass and Stephen Perkins on drums, Jane's Addition's Ritual De Lo Habitual is a great record and quite possibly the bands best. For containing only nine tracks, Ritual De Lo Habitual is fairly long coming in at a little over 50 minutes, mainly due to the two epic tracks, Three Days, and Then She Did. with both combined equaling almost twenty minutes. About Ritual de lo Habitual. Arguably the pinnacle of this profoundly important and influential bands career. An epic, masterful behemoth including themes of humanityinhumanity, cross-cultural appreciation and respect, environmental destruction, utilitarian philosophy, suicide, sexual experimentation and feminism. Oh yeahand stealing shit too. Ritual de lo Habitual Q&A

Talk about Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual

I came across this copy. Does anybody now if this is a bootleg or a misprint? I can not find any info. any info would be appreciated
My version has side A and B list all the songs of A, B, C and D (misprint)?
I also have this, with the A and B labels listing the crazy long spacing of the original single LP, C and D' listings being accurate.
Does anyone have this specific pressing with correct labels? If so, what's the deadwax info?
I used to have it too, this exact same version with the misprinted labels. Though the quality of the pressing is flawess, the same cannot be said for the mastering. Most likely a Cd transfer. That's why I got rid of it, and bought myself an original.
When did you buy it? I saw a copy on ebay with 2xLP, barcode 0 7599-25993-1 3. According to the seller, it was from Record Store Day 2009, same date for the Rhino reissue, barcode 081227988852. Could be a rushed pre-release from Rhino with the old barcode?? I know that Rhino reissue is poor, but the first pressings usually have better sound.
I have the exact same version, so it must be an additional "unknown" pressing. Mine also comes with a double sided yellow lyric sheet. Lastly, my copies sound amazing and quiet as well.
Mine too!!!Definetely a misprint.But records sound amazing!
